the name of the magazine is after all VANITY FAIR.
Even if they manage to muster a positive opinion of libertarian politics, you can't expect them not to throw in a snide comment about how people look and dress, and wear their hair, or cleanse or do not cleanse their pores.
Any publicity is good publicity though.
Government has solved the age old dilemma of the alchemists. In order to turn lead into gold, just add blood.
Over the last few years some of my "corporate" friends with their "corporate e-mail" have really dropped off my list frankly. Sort of a change for me. Always been pretty "normal" looking but always enjoyed the "alternative" crowd more in reality. Much more interesting people. Alternative rock, medicine, energy, science, ect... Folks who have body odor, drive shitty little cars, and talk about building homes with mud, Log furniture construction, Tesla, belly dancers, whatever. (The real free market. OH YEAH)
"Freedom without emotion is like a car without gas."
Wanted to add I've never encountered any "stinky Patriots" among the Paul supporters I've associated with.
"Freedom without emotion is like a car without gas."
much preferable to see than the contrived RNC convention.
Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone; and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.--John Quincy Adams
And this one is no exception. It is a natural consequence of a free exchange of information, which is generally a good thing. There is a lot more "noise" out there, and it is becoming more and more important to filter out the garbage and find the good stuff. As an aside, I once remember a political commentary about the "whackos" of the political parties. The commentator said that the Democrats and the Republicans both have their fair share of "whackos"; the main difference is that the Republicans do a much better job of hiding theirs(!) I wonder how/if this movement will fit this characterization.
thanks for posting this story. I am so used to reading about us being the " lunatic fringe" that it is actually surprising to read a fairly neutral article. And maybe the author wasnt talking about us actually smelling, rather, he was downwind of the green team. So i will take that as a compliment :)
"If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind." John Stuart Mill
Im so glad that VF covered the rally. Although, I dont like the characterization of many of us being stinky and such, so be it, stinky freedom loving patriots!
