To really stand out with an elected official what do you have to donate to their campaign? $100,000?
To a president what, $500,000? In return you get contracts worth 20 times that much. That's better than insider trading! Well, I guess it is insider trading --- anyhoo,
look at Vice prez Dick Cheney for example. Former Sec of Defense under G.H.W.Bush --->> CEO of Halliburton, Inc., ---->>Vice President of the United States ---->>International War Profiteer and Criminal.
You don't have to buy access when you are access. And we see more of this going from government, into industry, back into government. Conflicts of interest abound. (see also Sen Diane Feinstein's hubby's contracts)
