Thanks for the pep talks

My appologies for painting such a depressing picture. Its better to stay optimistic and keep trying to advance the cause of freedom.

They are offering a asset based, zero interest zero transaction fee banking system as well as a number of other extrodinary ideas to restore the power to the people of this Republic.

"A democracy cannot exist...

Well David, I'd like to give you that pep talk but I'm afraid I have to concur with your general outlook. For one, are we not supposed to be living within a Republic? Quite a different thing than a Democracy. In a pure Democracy of 100 people, if 66 of them say "this will be so"... then you've got 33 unhappy folks with one that forgot to vote. This sort of unbalanced arrangement simply cannot be compelled to survive. But I believe it comes down to cause and effect in that most of our societies troubles are merely symptoms of the disease that lies (no pun intended) at the core: non-tangible paper money. A society is only as corrupt as what it uses as its medium of exchange. As pointed out in your post "...with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy." A Democracy with loose fiscal policy running on monopoly money leaves too much operating room for parasites.

So, how do we stop this? That becomes the question. How do you put a dope dealer out of business?... stop using his product. But that's where it gets tricky... as a society, we're all hooked on paper. We've been very well "paper trained" as it were with no end in sight. We would need some kind of Ron Paul style "anti-paper money bomb day" where, for that one day, a few million people simply conducted their personal/business affairs in some other medium besides FRN's... no credit cards or foreign paper either... tangible transactions. Now, how "simple" that would be IRL is another thing all together in light of the fact that roughly 65% or more of the population today receives some kind of benefit check from the paper parasites. Thoughts?

Great words

Those are great words, no doubt. But the big question is whether collectivists can be dissuaded from their goal of getting everything provided for them by government. I'm in a pessimistic mood today so I'm going to guess that things will proceed as predicted by Sir Alexander Tytler who said;

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."

Fiscal collapse does not seem unlikely in view of the government's total lack of fiscal responsibility and the the unprecedented $45 trillion in unfunded future liabilities. And Bush's policies are already bordering on dictatorship.

OK anyone want to give me pep talk? I obviously need one now.

David pep talk is this

We have history on our side. And when the inevitable happens then we can swoop in and offer real solutions at a time when people will be looking for them. Who will people trust?, people that lied to them and told them things were a-okay or the people that warned about this time. Now is the time to be even more vocal and let people know what is gonna happen. Educate, Educate, educate! This is our time the time in which we who were called kooks and that will never happen will show that reason and logic always prevails. But we must be humble showing great humility and offer hope, real hope that we can get through this if they listen and let reason and logic prevail to rebuild and create a strong economic foundation on which to start anew. Not sure how much "pep" that is but pep up get your head and spirits back up and never give up!

get the

plundering parasites off our backs!

The best part was all the people pondering the speech with their hands to the chin-rather pensive I'd say
