I hated the musical, but I'm loving the legislature! Forgive me, but I actually went onto the state website to verify that this was real - it is! http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/WebBillStatus/main.html
I had heard that various states were resisting Real ID, but that the resistance amounted to stalling. Shame on me for swallowing what was probably propaganda to make most people believe Real ID is inevitable and that "resistance was futile." The problem is that the Feds are in charge of the airports (TSA) and I'm not sure that Oklahoma can stop them from denying access to a plane until they actually win a court case with an order from a federal judge.
Nonetheless, encouraging!

Tom, brother, please stop being a kitty katty playing with a silly rabbit, and understand that we must TAKE our rights back. We must take back our rights. As you can see there are plenty of people doing it. You have seen the American Indians doing it, Montana and New Hampshire did it too. They didn't give up, they did it.
So stop being so.... hmnn.... negative and come to the fighting side.... don't be so nice.... and lets give them the rumble of their life time.....

My comment merely meant that this declaration will not spur any action from either side until there is a legal challenge - "problem" was probably a poor choice of words.
How do you suggest I "come to the fighting side?"

Not a suggestion, but a request that you go to www.givemeliberty.org and read them. Bob Shulz has two great videos there too.
We the People is the MOST active Freedom Organization and I think they are organizing a good fight where we can actually do something.

I have actually been following the We the People foundation since they started taking out ads in the USA today in 2000-2001. I fully support their efforts, but I have not ceased paying income taxes because, while they may be right legally (but I'm not sure that they are) and morally (I am most definitely sure that they are), they haven't been successful. Most of the people that have ceased paying taxes have been successfully prosecuted, and their Petition for Redress has been summarily ignored and dismissed.
I believe in Ron Paul's suggestion that we use the processes in place to start taking back congressional seats, local government posts, delegates, etc. to win a political victory.
What action have you taken in relation to We the People foundation (this is not a challenge, I'm actually looking for information/education here)?

More than what I have done for them is what they have done for me. WTP like other educational foundations has distilled the freedom philosophy and posted the results for our education. The field is huge and they do a good job of directing us into the most effective channels. I have signed their petitions, picked up their educational cause and promoted those ideas (constitution, first amendment, redress etc.) and now I have followed their request to "make it viral".
I do believe that asking for "redress" whether it is immediately successful or not, is most important. I do believe that we must TELL those in power that they are WRONG. That we KNOW, and that we WON'T put up with it quietly.
Bob Schulz makes a wonderful case about the importance of the first amendment and why petitioning is so important.
But most importantly.... HE TAKES THE POWERS THAT BE TO COURT AND SCORES LEGAL VICTORIES THAT SCALE BACK GOVERNMENT!!! And that is why I think we must support We the People and www.wethepeoplefoundation.org and www.givemeliberty.org
If not we, who? If not now, when? If not by petition, how?
Honestly, Boris, I interpreted your impassioned challenge to me as that I should be doing something tangible that I'm not already doing. "Support WTP and spread the word" is a little anti-climactic. Is there more?

Well, Tom, and Daryl, knowing that we are on the same side....
Hold your horses.... where did I say "do something tangible that you are not already doing"? The conversation you and I were having was about you being "nice" and what I said was "come to the fighting side and lets give them hell"
And what I meant is that this is not the time to be shy, to back off and to parse our words, but to be direct and forceful with the truth on our side.
And "support WTB and spread the word" is more than most people are doing. What Bob Schulz is doing for us is nothing short of heroic. He is (with our help and funds) fighting the powers in court! Fasting in front of congress! Getting media attention about the real issues (Federal Reserve, illegal tax collection, Patriot Act etc) and asking to help him help us is quite the revolutionary act. (if in my mind at least)
... and if by chance in the echoes you heard a call for more action... may be we all should be doing more more more.
But brother... we are on the same page, and we are here to pat each other in the back, to encourage each other on the huge fight...
What a nice surprise... LOL. I live here and this is the first I've heard about it. Fortunately, OK is really against REAL ID... so that must be what they're making a fuss over.
