Type of Content: Article From FED UP USA (http://www.fedupusa.org/) Breaking! - FED not lending to banks! Several of us here at Fedup are very well versed in finances and the economic crisis that is going on. We have noticed an alarming trend. The Federal reserve is not renewing loans it has made to banks. They have repeatedly taken the stance that this is a crisis of liquidity and have injected hundreds of billions into the financial system and they are asking for another $700 billion to do the same. However in the last several days they have removed over $110 billion dollars; or approximately 1/3rd of all the money they have lent out short term. This is extremely unstable for our financial system and if allowed to continue will result in more failures. Many people that we've talked to are starting to wonder if it's intentional to create a crisis to get their bill passed. Updates to come - Stay Tuned. DM - 9/24 See the Market Ticker about this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And, from the Market Ticker: The Market Ticker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daOfYmSLW_U The Fed has claimed that this is a "liquidity crisis." Really Ben? Then perhaps you can explain this? http://market-ticker.denninger.net/uploads/drain.png Note that this is an intentional drain of "slosh", or liquidity, from the banking system. $125 billion in the last four days drained? You wouldn't be trying to intentionally cause a bank failure or two to bolster your call for the $700 billion "bailout" plan, or perhaps intentionally lock the short-term credit markets, would you Ben? If the market has a liquidity crisis, why would you be intentionally draining reserves from the banking system? Don't you think you ought to explain that to Congress?
