Ron Paul for Treasury Secretary!

This could really be a winnable battle for the freedom movement. While McCain publicly ridiculed Ron Paul on foreign policy, privately he knows he doesn't have a clue about economics and has also said in the past the Ron is "the most honest man in Washington." I'm not sure if Obama would ever consider it, as he is ultimately a socialist, but clearly this is a way for either candidate to "get the Ron Paul vote" and it would end up doing a lot of good. If nothing else, mainstream Americans would finally start hearing on a regular basis that central planning doesn't work for money and credit any more than it works for any other aspect of the economy. While the Fed works independently and ultimately reports to Congress (in theory), Ron could use his post to hammer away calling for audits and raising the visibility of the dismal failure of this horrible institution.

Along with the other efforts to get better people into Congress, a viral call for Ron Paul to be tapped as Treasury Secretary by the next president can't hurt!

I don't watch TV

so would not have even noticed. Now that they no longer see him as a threat they can use him to talk sense.

RPs is good for ratings,

RPs is good for ratings, plus he really does make solid sense. the media blackout was explicitly for election purposes, just to make sure his message didn't get too far during a critical time. truth of the matter is all of things anchor and host personalities are rich, capitalists who invest, and many are even self employed, and they all benefit from Ron Pauls economic small government message. The neo conservatives will slowly fade away into oblivion as real conservatism reveals itself as feasible and offers real solutions to which the neo cons only pay lip service. As the line between democrat and republican becomes further blurred, our ranks will grow exponentially.

If you put a noose around the neck of a neo con and put him up on a stool, he'll kick the stool out from under himself because "well for better or for worse I'm already here."
