Conscription and "National Service"

Thanks to Kurt Wallace and BTM for featuring my book (with Kevin Gutzman) Who Killed the Constitution? The Fate of American Liberty from World War I to George W. Bush as its first Book of the Week! Here's a video of the interview, which I thought went rather well! Kurt knows what to ask and how to keep the conversation moving.

Here's a piece I wrote last week on the movement for "national service" programs, as well as the issue of military conscription. It ties in to what we're saying in the book: whether it's the welfare or the warfare division of the empire, those who govern us are confident they can make you do what they want, Constitution or no Constitution.

Great article on conscription

I'm not sure if anyone outside our little libertarian subculture is noticing this, but they are literally coming for our children! THis should be line across which we refuse to step (backwards)!
