The tide is

shifting --- that you're able to find prime time discussions on impeachment and prosecutions for war crimes on major news networks is certainly a sign of the changing atmosphere

They had better move fast...

... on the impeachment if they're going to head off a U.S. attack on Iran. With House Congressional Resolution 362 and Senate Resolution 580 apparently cruising toward approval (look 'em up!) I'm afraid we're quickly running out of time.

But honestly, I really don't think there's enough backing in Congress *despite* the fact that the Democrats control both the Senate and the House. Bush isn't likely to be impeached. Look how even the Democrats shrugged or even laughed off Kucinich's impeachment resolution.

Most of the clowns in Congress are cut from the same cloth, regardless of whether they claim to be Republican or Democrat. Most of them are "Establishment" first, bought and paid for. I forget who it was who quipped that "America has the best government money can buy!" but there's a lot of truth in that.

I have a bad feeling we're going to be paying the price in a lot more than cash before this is over.
