First of all he is supposedly the most widely read, and wittiest, columnist in the English-speaking world--takes on the great poison of the twenty-first century: the anti-Americanism that fuels both Old Europe and radical Islam. America, Steyn argues, will have to stand alone. The world will be divided between America and the rest; and for our sake America had better win.

HIS BEST SELLER at the moment is America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It by Mark Steyn

Islam will take over the world because they are multiplying significantly more than the Europeans and they are becoming the new Europeans. And, as they take it over by population it will also expand their politics.

His solution is for U.S. to use its technologically advance military and use the power all the way to stop this growth of Muslims into taking possession of the world.

In his prologue He writes: America has the advantage of the most powerful army on the face of this planet, but she doesn't have the stomach for war, so it's no advantage at all. ...the minute you send it anywhere hysterical congressmen are shrieking that we need an "exit strategy"....

His question is "Can the developed world become more Muslim in its demographic character without becoming more Muslim in its political character?" He reminds us that ...to put it mildly, Islam has a somewhat fractious relationship with the characteristics of a free society....

So i guess we better bomb the hell out of all muslim drag the rascals out line them up and shoot them.. sterilize the people.

BECAUSE that will be the only way to stop them from corrupting our liberties and freedom of speech

So when the Muslims have taken over Europe, Russia, Japan essentially all of allies have turned Muslim then American will stand alone and must either decide to become Muslim or risk dying for our Freedoms. But because the average joe is sitting in his LazyBoy Chair we are most likely to become Muslim.

Have I misunderstood this prolific writer or too shallow to understand his greater meaning???

IN a presentation to the Federalist Society, He states he is for a political party whose platform is Libertarian back to the Constitution. But then his book is about waging war against the Muslim people.

Who is this GUY??? The only thing I read that I could partially agree with is That America's deficit is not the government's but the programs our government sponsors i.e medicaid and medicare, food stamps, welfare etc.

Thanks for any insight you can provide on this

I will be joining my Liberty group in Houston tomorrow morning in front of the Federal Reserve Bank

END THE FED!!!!

Mark Steyn!

I have listened to, and read quite a bit of Mark Steyn, He is very conservative and does not deny that or try to hide his beliefs one bit. He has no ulterior motive but to speak his mind the way he sees it. He in my opinion is a great asset to any true freedom of speech message! I tried to post his speech he gave the other day (that was broadcast on C-SPAN) but have not been able to find a copy. I will try again later.

Not So!

TruthSerum is apparently somewhat biased about Mark Steyn. Poulianna, you genuinely asked for an opinion of Mr. Steyn's ideas and idealogy. What you got from TruthSerum was a typical, uninformed, vitriolic response. Now, Mr. Steyn is unabashedly a conservative supporter of the American idealogy and certainly fears for survival of the idea of America.

Within the last year he has been embroiled in a fight for his individual right of free speech against the Canadian government. Suit was brought to a Canadian ministry on behalf of several Muslim citizens of Canada claiming their human rights were infringed upon by Steyn, in his book "America Alone". There is no question that Steyn is controversial and "in your face" with his satirical wit and rugged prose. I guess he could be classified as a "jerk" however that misses the point by a country mile. Steyn is irreverant in the face of leftist egalitarianism and the unbridled force of government against free individuals.

My suggestion is to visit his website and read some of his stuff. I read "America Alone" as well as some of his writings about the Canadian government's action against him. TruthSerum is correct...he is paid...paid for the books and articles he writes and sells. He is also a paid lecturer as you indicated. My assessment of his stuff is that he is an entertaining polemicist, paid for what he presents. Not quite as smooth as some others, but certainly worthy of attention.
