Since the drafting of FISA and the new recent revamping of it to grant telecoms immunity. We The People should get our representatives to draft The Elected Official Surviellance Act. Basically to frame legislation to make public record all phone calls, emails, and verbal and written communications Elected Officials have with anyone and put it on that elected officials office site. After all what they do in the name of their constituients is much more important than what beliefs I have. Besides, if they can look at my email to my mother than why can I not look at theirs?

Good point, they should be held accountable for what they say in private - is that what you mean? Because really, YOU don't like it I'd imagine they would HATE it and the premise is still unfair no matter who you use it for, them or us. Buc, I agree with alot of what I've read of your opinions etc but if elected officials are, by law, forced to make their private dealings public record, can you imagine the myriad of potential lawsuits from people who would find trademark, copyright, and other infringements, ad inf? I don't trust them either, no way, but this doesn't sound like an answer. I don't want my right to privacy chipped away at any more than it is - a politician has that same right, even if he is a creep, a crook, a completely corrupt greedy waste of space. It has to work for everyone or it won't work at all. My 2 cents lol.
