I'm just finding out about this now and not sure what to make of this - it doesn't look so good: S 334, Healthy Americans Act
"Makes individuals who are not enrolled in another **specified** health plan and who are not opposed to coverage for religious reasons responsible for enrolling themselves and their dependent children in a HAPI plan offered through their state of residence. **Sets forth penalties for failure to enroll.**"
"Amends the Internal Revenue Code to require employers and individuals to each make shared responsibility payments for HAPI plan premiums."
"Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to promulgate guidelines concerning the benefits, items, and services to be covered."

Has anyone else heard of this?

thats already in place in Massachusetts, I'm not sure what they are doing to enforce it because i have moved, but i know they were talking about withholding tax returns or something.
Government has solved the age old dilemma of the alchemists. In order to turn lead into gold, just add blood.
Sure and next they will require any damned treatment they wish to force on us - can you say "human guinea pig"?
This whole thing is just a set up to start forced drugging, forced treatment - and will probably end up with forced "euthanasia".
If it occurs to anyone that over a quarter million people are killed each year by pharmaceuticals - and the next runner up - cancer - has been curable for years but still taking hundreds of thousands of lives per year -- what are we being forced into? It stinks of mind control, body control, and the ability to kill someone legally while robbing their wallets.
FORCED HEALTH CARE? NO WAY. NO DAY. I AM NOT CATTLE - I CAN SMELL THE WOLF IN THE HERDS.
They give these bills the most ridiculous names. Like the "Patriot Act..." Should be called the Fleeced Americans Act or something. I don't even want to read about this. This isn't the America I signed up for.
For me, I don't like or support almost anything about the way medicine is practiced in America. So why should I pay for it? But then again I don't like alot of the things my IRS garnished earnings go towards. So I guess what's another few percentage points off my eventual retirement funds at this point??? I could always just die sooner if I run out of money, which I suppose I will do anyway when I let state funded doctors and hospitals handle my care when I'm too old to do it for myself. Not that I will have a choice in the matter by then, as a law abiding "US citizen."
