The Heart and Soul of Ron Paul’s Revolution
A Declaration of Hope, Love and Peace… The Declaration of Independence - The Constitution - The Bill of Rights. The Heart and Soul of Ron Paul’s Revolution.
What America needs now is a revolution of hope, love and peace. This revolution must rekindle the same love and passion our founding fathers had for our birthing nation; our not yet formed but quite United States.
The love for country that the people who made America felt for America must not perish from America. Only that kind of love can lead a revolution toward liberty.
They who made our country; their love was mighty and their hope was unbounded. And now we who want to be part of this revolution of hope, love and peace, must learn to hope and love at least as well as they.
The essential ground of being that inspired our Constitution was one of hope, love and peace. A young America had immense hope for her future. A young America thrived under the wise and loving guidance of her early leaders. A young America favored peace.
Now we who embark on this new enterprise must also learn to hope again for a grand new future. A future we will build together. We must learn how to love ourselves and each other enough to free America from an iron fist of fear. To love our country is to love ourselves. We, brothers and sisters; we are our country; you, me and all U.S. citizens. Not the government. Not our name, the United States. Not our flag, but us! That’s what The United States of America is. It is us, according to the Constitution… Remember “We the people…”
Only love can defeat fear. We can love our flag and our name and yes even our government because a government of hope, love and peace is a government you can love, but it is people who can feel this love. I don’t think people feel very loved right now.
Above all we must learn how to be at peace. Meditate once in a while, it won’t kill you, and it might make your life a little easier. When you discover deep calmness within your self, you may also find that it is easier for those around you to be calm. Peace can blossom only from within; it can only take birth inside our hearts. A hardened heart cannot have peace, cannot make peace. So peace on earth can only start from within our hearts.
This must be a revolution of lovingkindness, not violence. The world is too small to be fighting over resources, technology and ideology. All of us are in this little lifeboat together. My oil is your oil; your water is my water; our grain is their grain; their air is our air. We must celebrate our world resources and learn how to be friends again and trade for them fairly, not start preemptive wars to control the world’s resources.
The world is just big enough to have nations but it may not be such a good idea to have a world of united nations. It would be wonderful to have a world of sovereign nations that respect each other and never threaten each other. In such a world we have the joy of celebrating national differences even as nations grow and support each other through honest free trade.
The government that now leads the United States of America is no longer worthy of that responsibility. It has not only failed to lead, it has betrayed us… we the people. Can you remember the last time you heard somebody say “It’s a free country”?
Above all else never abandon your sovereignty. The essence of a sovereign nation is in her sovereign people. The moment you surrender your sovereignty is the beginning of the end of the Republic. Only a sovereign people can sustain and defend a true republic.
Are we those few, those fortunate few who are to serve as sparks for a revolution?
Those blessed few who pledge their life, their liberty and their sacred honor on restoring America to the American people. Let’s follow those sacred words of the inspired founders of our republic. Those words illuminate the way on our path of liberty.
I am hardly an expert on things political. But I know enough to say that the word politics comes from politic. Now politic is an interesting word. It describes action. And these actions are said to be wise, following a good policy, leading to one’s advantage, shrewd. According to precise definition, politic originally came from the Greek politikos, of a citizen. Republic comes to us through Latin, res publica, public affairs, matters that concern the whole population, it’s a public thing.
I hear a call to revolution of the highest order. This Ron Paul Revolution that I support is a revolution that is launched in hope, sustained in love and lived in peace. May every negotiation begin in hope. Let us welcome at each conference table the hope for success in discovering solutions to even the most difficult disagreements and confrontations. That Hope for Success can be a guiding light as we search in the darkness of mistrust, antipathy, prejudice, disappointment and anger. Let love blossom in our hearts for the sustainable success of mankind. Let that love guide us back to goodwill, integrity, responsibility for ourselves, our environment and each other, as a community of sovereign nations thriving in a sustainable free and prosperous world. Imagine world wide lovingkindness.
Truth and transparency in international relationships is indispensable now. Nothing less than a shift in paradigm will do. Peace may have to be found in an entirely new way of being with each other. The bellicose way of bulldozing through life is so passé. Now we need to listen to each other, pay attention to the needs of others, be self sufficient yet team players, while remembering to be grateful, celebrate and protect our precious individual freedom.
This revolution for liberty that I support and work to implement, is nothing more than a deep longing we all feel to return to our inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There was a time in America when I think we did feel alive, and at liberty and definitely pursuing our happiness. What happened to us? Look where we are now compared to that much celebrated part of our history just after World War Two. That was a time when you could hitchhike from New York to California in your Army uniform and you would hardly have to pay for a meal or a place to sleep. There was a time when Americans depended on and trusted each other.
But almost from the beginnings of our glorious, even if humble, origins there has been subtle treachery afoot. Even as we felt safer and more optimistic a few decades ago, our government (conspiring with people of great wealth and power) was busily working to undermine our freedom and financial security. There is an abundance of information available on the internet for you to learn how this has all been accomplished. A great way to begin educating yourself might be to read The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin. The critical thing to understand now is that we, the people, are in a dysfunctional relationship with our government. Unfortunately for us this relationship is rapidly becoming abusive.
If someone stole daily from your nest egg and you were powerless to do anything about it or unaware that you were being robbed, would you call it abusive? And if your sweet patriot brothers and sisters volunteer to go to war and fight and spill their precious blood for our country, and it turns out that the war that took their lives is illegal and completely unnecessary, would you say that is abusive? In fact that war that took their life is just more of the same continuous effort of the hidden political power structure to rip off the American people, their savings and their very net worth.
As more and more is discovered about how we got where we are now, there will be a tendency to get angry. Well, let me assure you that anger vented unwisely is just more salt in the wounds of war.
Compassion must open our hearts and minds to see that the men and the women who have so well plotted against a free people did nothing more or less than any normal person would do when great wealth and power are available. That is just a beginning. Then we need the power of the reality of truth. We ask for truth and transparency at all government and beurecratic levels. We demand the restoration of habeas corpus, and we will take back our right to personal privacy. We must, as common cause, unshakably pursue the truth about what our Constitutional Republic is supposed to look like.
Then we must ask are we in a constitutional republic? And if not… why not? After we have finished figuring out that we do want to live in a constitutional Republic ( I think we will if we all read the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights.) we must start to correct the mistakes made by greedy misguided “public servants”. The most practical way to proceed, because speed is of the essence, is to investigate, discover and correct the mistakes in a spirit of hope, love and peace; not Sinicism, hate and war as we have done from the beginning.
So far this is a foundation, a corner stone. We are about to liberate the United States of America. It is up to us to liberate ourselves first. We can do it as a Community of States and we can do it as United Sovereign Citizens. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
As we become aware of our predicament, that we are in an abusive relationship with our government, and that it is our government that is being abusive to us, how do we proceed? I think the best way to proceed is to enter into open conference to redress any grievances and to do so as if we are clients in a battered spouse counseling facility. The common citizen is in an abusive relationship with the government of his country. This will be the second great trial of The Constitution. And I remind you and our hidden power structure that even though it’s little individual human versus “The Government”, we have the most powerful weapon ever given the common man, The Constitution and Bill of Rights!
“That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”
We Americans have always been busy people; busy building our lives, busy building our dreams, busy building our country. We don’t want to govern our government. We have the legal right to do so, but we would rather resume building our lives, dreams and country. We want to establish a government we can trust. The government we will establish will be a government that is aware of its social status in our country. First it must be aware that it is our country and not the government’s country. The government is our employee. And just like anyone in business depends on hiring employees who can be trusted, a successful constitutional republic depends on a government she can trust.
At times I have heard the United States referred to as a democratic republic. That is a mistake. The United States of America was founded as The Constitutional Republic of The United States. We didn’t start to call ourselves Americans until the 19th century. ) So before we go on let’s be clear bout this. Correct understanding of our political system is important for the successful relationship of a people to their government. Do your own research to be clear about this but this is the way a constitutional republic and a democratic republic are described in a popular on line encyclopedia:
Constitutional republic - A constitutional republic is a state where the head of state and other officials are elected as representatives of the people and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government’s power over citizens. In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers are separated into distinct branches so that no individual or group has absolute power and the power of the majority of the population is checked by only allowing them to elect representatives. The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power, makes the state constitutional. That the head(s) of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions, and that their decisions are subject to judicial review makes a state republican.
Democratic Republic - Tends to be used by countries who have a particular desire to emphasize their claim to be democratic; these are typically Communist states and/or ex-colonies.
And, according to the same encyclopedia we are also a federal republic:
Federal republic, confederation or federation - a federal union of states with a republican form of government. Examples include Austria, Brazil, Germany, India, the United States, Russia and Switzerland.
To be sure, a constitutional republic cannot work if its government is in an abusive relationship with the people who are that republic. We are no longer in the same free America some of us older citizens were born into or emigrated to.
I know of no better man alive today than Ron Paul to lead this revolution of hope, love and peace, this revolution to liberate America. I intend to vote for Ron Paul as President of the United States.
