The book was a dystopian look at a post-peak oil, post-false flag attack town in upstate New York. I found the book a compelling read as it paints a strangely comforting picture of the possible future of our country for those of us that are prepared and self-sufficient.

a outstanding book! I couldn't put it down. Kunstler is an amazingly talented writer.
