Here's a few vids that contain some cool music. Actually the vids could mean different things to different people but they still may contain some good music for other projects. Since I haven't learned Windows Movie maker I'm still more of a consumer rather than a producer of vids.

Then again, who is!
I am doing some music as The Realside (my solo project name). I am making an album 17 songs, 76 minutes called Willett Comb with bunches of inside references many will recognize. I am trying to express some of the blatant censorship (by many people's own minds) by coding patriotism slowly into the songs with questions of morality, individualism as well as the importance of those who stand up for us. I have some mixes up on myspace if you search for The Realside, but I will have the finished versions on my own web site for download in a couple months. I will also print a cd for sale after mastering available at Amazon, CD Baby, etc.
I have to say as an artist, I can't write fast enough. I am inspired daily by the battles taking place as our very reality implodes and the sense of responsibility is magnified. At first, this is a very harrowing experience, but think of what it must be to deny what is happening and get blindsided!
Regardless, it takes a certain mind to endure this real quest for freedom, civil liberties, true honest government and the rule of law. I know INDEED, we are NOT the isolationists. I'm even answering some of this warmongering incredulity with a faux production of an "Iranian punk band" soon to hit the web. I already have an international poetry project called Darc Kontinents with Lila Sakura (lilasakura.com) featuring poets/poetry from Portugal, New Zealand, Syria, Canada, Uruguay, Poland, Japan, etc.
I hope to help in as many ways I can to use this communication medium to help people anywhere I can. Even before I knew about Ron Paul May of 07, I stopped watching TV for 6 years. There was just something not right, something condescending that I got sick of. I don't pay for cable, just Internet from Verizon. Thanks to you guys, I may reconsider.
And hats off to all the freedom minded artists out there!

A History Lesson

As relevant today as it was in 1970.
I wore out my old vinyl lp.
Lead singer John Kay has an interesting story.
"He was born Joachim Fritz Krauledat in 1944 in the section of Germany then known as East Prussia. He never knew his father, who was killed fighting in Russia a month before John's birth. When John was less than a year old, he and his mother fled to what would soon become Communist-controlled East Germany. When he was four, they undertook a perilous midnight escape into West Germany.
Growing up in Hannover, West Germany, John was profoundly affected by the American rock 'n' roll he heard on U.S. Armed Forces Radio. Though he didn't speak English at the time, the music's primal energy touched something deep in him, instilling both a driving ideal of personal freedom and an abiding interest in American culture. That vision became a reality in 1958, when the teenager emigrated with his mother and stepfather to Toronto. There, he immersed himself in the rock, R&B, country and gospel music that emanated from late-night U.S. clear-channel AM stations, while learning English from the speed-rapping DJs who dominated the rock 'n' roll airwaves."
John Kay now knows that witches were not burned in America.
Ron Paul is mentioned in the YouTube comments.
Better video here that ends too soon.
Eisenhower's Farewell Address
Poor audio sync
Another great song from the album was "Draft Resister"
Couldn't find a video or audio file.
I thought this song would appear on the list almost immediately.
It has become a standard in the liberty movement.
"No his mind is not for rent
To any god or government
Always hopeful, yet discontent
He knows changes aren't permanent
But change is"
Reminds me of singin' on Rock Band!! Woo hoo!
-Miss Green
"Fear not the path of truth for the lack of people walking on it."
Great Song!
When I find rigidity creeping into my thinking, this song reminds me not to overlook potential allies whose reasons for believing in he cause of liberty differ substantially from my own. In the end we are all here together.
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed your suffering
As the battle raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms
Having a bad day? Why Worry?

Greg Brown is traditional in the traditional folk world, so there aren't any good videos of him doing his stuff. He is still a word of mouth guy in an internet world.
Here is a not so good video of a live version of "I Want My COuntry Back".
Which would be my vote if there was a better version available...
Pete Townshend wrote this as part of his Lifehouse Project. He wanted to release a double-album and film about a world where the people are oppressed, but saved by a rock concert. Part of Townshend's wish was to show the power of music and how it reflects the people. "Won't Get Fooled Again" is about a revolution. In the first verse, there is an uprising. In the middle, they overthrow those in power, but in the end, the new regime becomes just like the old one ("Meet the new boss, same as the old boss").
