Fascism is defined as the marriage between the government and the private sector. It always has terrible consequences. Today (in just one example of fascism) we see the government has contracted out prison functions to the private sector using the argument of “increased efficiency”. They claim that because the free market is more efficient they can use free market services to cut costs. The unintended consequence is that private companies now make more money by putting more people in jail. That means campaign money from the contracted companies goes to the officials that will increase laws and penalties so that more people go to jail for longer periods of time.
