i think the problem is the law much more so than for twitter on this topic. twitter is simply onbeying the laws of the countries they are expanding to. that isnt exactly their fault. its the faults of the lawmakers in that country. those are the people you need to protest to. if blackoutting twitter for a day will be part of a successful protest to those lawmakers for some legit reason then fine, but just make sure you protest to the right entities.
