The Bilderberg Predicament
To be certain, responses to Bilderberg-related content on BreaktheMatrix have been hit or miss. One article I posted got voted down and archived, likely because of its infowars.com origin. If that’s the case, it’s a logical fallacy –to dismiss an argument (or article) because of its source.
I am not a huge Alex Jones fan; I have listened on occasion and while interesting, quite frankly, he scares the crap out of me. After listening to his show, I buy an extra gallon of water at the grocery store to stock the garage shelf. Is that normal?
In short, I have no desire to be a female version of Alex Jones. Nor do I want BreakTheMatrix to become another Infowars. We are much more than that in our scope and mission. But I am also not going to ignore information that may be important to our freedom movement simply because it originates at Infowars.com. We, at BreakTheMatix, know better than just about anyone – that ignoring the ugly information doesn’t make it go away.
And despite the fringe reputation of Alex Jones and crew, few people can deny that they get the information when few others can or do. Case in point: The Bilderbergers are meeting right now in Chantilly, Va., and the impressive list of members in attendance (including Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, and Jim Johnson, chosen to head the search for Obama's VP) was posted first by AJ and crew.
I don’t know much about the Bilderberg Group, their motives, or the power they truly wield, but I want to know more. I want to look at the facts and evidence and make an informed decision. Anyone care to join me? This Thursday, on LifeLine, I’m going to spend some time talking about the Bilderberg Group. Join us and share your knowledge, or learn along with me! If you’re a self-described expert, please email me through BreakTheMatrix – I definitely want to hear your thoughts.
In the meantime, you should check out the list of attendees at this weekend’s Bilderberg meeting; I posted a link in the content section.

he definitely is on the right side, and he provides information that should be critically examined. His heart is definitely in the right place, and you need a loud voice to get some people's attention. My own opinion is that sometimes he takes his conclusions too far based upon the evidence he has uncovered. He also sometimes characterizes real issues as "dark conspiracies" when in fact they are really a lot of powerful people in the grip of bad ideas. However, sometimes he's right - they are conspiring!
Regarding Bobo's post, let me say this. At the end of anything, like Enron, I believe there is the "rip and tear" stage. Anything goes, and insanity seems to be all around you. I feel like America is in that rip and tear stage. If you watch business shows, you hear arguments by permabulls that just astound you. I heard six people gang up on Peter Schiff because he wouldn't accept their argument that hurricanes are good for the economy. He said, "if that were true, we could all get rich by breaking windows." The voice of reason - but he was outnumbered six to one by people that said he was wrong. Hurricanes are good for the economy. You hear the government say things just as insane. A Congresswoman stands up and talks about nationalizing the oil industry - in America - and nobody flinches. I am afraid that we are in a downward spiral, and I'm not sure that we will turn this around before we hit a point of chaos.

Sorry, YOU'RE BANNED!!!
LOL! They don't call me Mr. Sunshine for nothing. I do believe that eventually we will prevail - however, the majority of people may not wake up until they experience real hardship that FORCES them to accept that the "system," such as it is right now, doesn't work. A good friend pointed out to me the other day that I should remember that the great majority of people in our country have no idea about the financial/economic cataclysm that is coming. They are still eating out at Applebee's and "buying sneakers that light up," as Sir George puts it. They have no idea about the Federal Reserve or what the definition of inflation is or that we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg right now or anything. Hopefully, we can reach them before people are shooting each other for food in "the land of the free," but there are no guarantees.
Feel better? :)

The Big Lie is a propaganda technique. It was defined by Adolf Hitler in his
1925 autobiography Mein Kampf as a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe
that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously".
This principle is being extended by the NWO, by their committing acts so horrendous
that anyone who notices looks like a nut. Acts of any degree of depravity are
encouraged, because they reinforce the cloak of psychological denial automatically
triggered in the general population.
Conspiracy watchers are put in a position of reporting acts so horrific no one wants
to believe them, regardless of what evidence is presented. A few brave souls might,
but the bulk start rolling their eyes, smiling, and talking about "conspiracy theorists",
as if humans are all inherently good, and their dictators inherently flawless. Otherwise
how would they be permitted to steal elections? If a crime is possible, and secrecy is
present, chances are it's happening, especially in the financial stratosphere where
government activity predominates.
And the conspiracy stuff just goes deeper and weirder. We haven't even mentioned
David Icke . The non productive NWO thugs all need big salaries on account of their
taxpayer funded "training" and require a criminal enterprise far larger than the IRS to
support them. Guess the outrage, and chances are some NeoCon stiff is out there
somewhere doing it.
First off, I want to give a standing ovation to Lisa and several others who in my opinion really define the freedom of information this site seeks to report. Articles and openness such as this define to me anyways what breaking through the matrix means. I often feel like my views are on the fringe of this site (a place I'm happy to inhabit) but for those that will lead the charge for this offering, this attitude about leaving options open keeps me optimistic and active here.
I want to point out that we already have filtering of the news everywhere. To me that sort of media coverage is a dead market. It assumes that we the people can't discern fact from fiction and are mindless consumers of what is spoon fed to us. I didn't expect to get that here but more often than not that is what people still demand. The fact is that many Ron Paul supporters are very open minded or else they wouldn't have found Paul in the first place. To question whether or not BTM should cover Bilderberg is silly. We know that the meetings happened even though it wasn't widely reported, if at all by the mainstream. So some people would like us to ignore that it even happened because CNN or Fox News didn't give it creedance? We might offend some newbie because that type of information might blow their mind. So much for investigative reporting. I guess we shouldn't talk about Kucinich and the Articles of Impeachment he presented on Monday as well, didn't hear about that from the networks. Maybe we shouldn't talk about taboo principles like Abolishing the Fed or the IRS while we're at it. Those types of things got huge laughs during the debates and even now at state conventions.
I want to remind people that Ron Paul has been around with this message for over 30 years! He didn't change his tune yesterday as some on here suggest. These ideas didn't come to him in the last election cycle. He ran on a similar platform in 1988 and were the majority of us a Revolution then for these ideas or did it stick that he was a crazy kook? Had we even heard about him at all? Yes a lot of these topics presented hear might seem like they are on the fringes now but if there is legitimacy to the argument and the events or acts threaten the fabric of the nation, why should BTM be the one to ignore them? Do we want to pander or do we want to have an intelligent dialog about these types of things?
I think that the interpretations of facts gleaned from covering meetings like Bilderberg, the Council on Foreign Relations, or the Bohemian Grove should also be open to debate on this site. The best way to find out if an idea/interpretation has merit is to challenge it as hard as you can and see if it stands up to the challenges.
As I stated before, I believe Alex Jones raises important issues, but sometimes overreaches in his interpretation of the facts as broad conspiracies. Ron Paul never interpreted the disturbing trends in American politics as conspiracies, always as bad ideas that had the support of powerful people. I do believe that in most cases, this is the more plausible explanation for what we are fighting against.
Starting from this assumption, and requiring overwhelming proof that a "conspiracy" really exists, is also a healthier approach. Too often, my impression at least from those purporting a conspiracy is that the conspiracy becomes an excuse - perhaps not even intentionally - to shift all of the blame or responsibility for the problem onto "dark, mysterious forces" over which we hold no control. The reality is that most of the things our government does that we as freedom lovers do not like are actually supported by - in fact DEMANDED by - the majority of Americans. That may be the result of conditioning since birth, but that conditioning is really the result of bad ideas that became popular worldwide over the past century.
I do believe that there are "conspiracies," but not as broad or far-reaching as described sometimes by Alex Jones. However, some of the results he describes could certainly come to pass as unintended consequences - think about who is more dangerous, an idiot with a loaded gun that means you no harm or someone that is really trying to kill you?
I say, introduce any story, no matter how "fringe" some people may think it is, but be prepared to be challenged, in fact, welcome challenge, to see if the evidence really stands up to scrutiny.
And be nice, everyone! I'm trying, and if I can do it... :)

a day off and miss all the great debate. Glad to see that there are others that got my back.. where you been .. GreenPepper, Parisi and MilitantLibertarian..??
Thank you guys, for saying it so much better than I ever could have. Although I have great hope I am not so sure the will ever "get it".
Interesting too that someone confirmed my suspicions of an agenda by certain folks here at BTM.
dizzy from all the time travel? You are perhaps the first and only Conspiracy (with a capital C) theorist with the shizoid theory that someone on BTM has a secret agenda.
Perhaps you need to add another layer of aluminum foil to your special hat.
secret. Its quite obvious and now confirmed.

by the way, who is it and what's their agenda?
Am I one of them?

I think I was one who voted down your Bilderberg article. If you want to know why, I'll explain. Not an expert on the subject, but an expert on why I hope it does not become a top tier issue on BTM.
Yes, Parisi - if I'm getting voted down, especially for my column, I'd like to know why.

Much experience at Daily Paul revealed that the ‘evil elite' conspiracies are divisive, litmus test sub-issues, counter-productive to the larger movement for liberty.
It wasn’t so much the fluoride, the chemtrails and the ‘planes never crashed into the World Trade Centers, there were missiles with expertly timed and planted bombs to form the gash so we would believe wings struck the buildings’ crowd and what they believed. It was their ubiquity and intolerance.
In December, they said polls were manufactured by the elite against Ron Paul and those who put any stock in them were foolish or complicit. In Jan they said Mike Huckabee’s rise was the pre-destined choice of men behind the curtains controlling the media, citing Huck’s limited fundraising as proof of that. Then threads were dominated by posters claiming Ron Paul truly won New Hampshire but Diebold fixed the results, and questioners of that earned a Scarlet ‘I’ for idiot.
This was during the heat of a campaign that elevated the liberty agenda to perhaps its greatest height in our lifetimes. Counterproductive doesn’t begin to describe it.
The believers could no longer tolerate the non-believers, and to a lesser extent, vice versa. The “DownsizeDC.org” styled DPers left en masse, the “prisonplanet.com” DPers stayed, the site shrank, debate shrank, plans failed, momentum dissipated.
There is a huge opportunity for BTM within the largely unserviced gap in the liberty spectrum between the aloof CATO institute scholars and the single-minded paranoids spoiling for a fight.
I’ve considered the conspiracy theories, read, watched videos, and I happen to not be buying. If you see my profile, I also have an up close and personal relationship with media people whom I've asked many questions over many years.
I am wary of conspiracy talk dominating another website, plain and simple. Don’t think it can’t happen here. Hence the vote down.
refrain from tyring to cram their info or theories or beliefs down other people's throats unwillingly.
However, the Bilderberg meeting is a real event. It is happening now, the head of our Fed has been photographed there. Not a single major media outlet has covered the story. Should BTM follow their lead and ignore it?
I understand your avoidance of conspiracy theories in general, but the Bilderberg meeting isn't a conspiracy, it's news.
Our objective at BreakTheMatrix is to consistently put forth the positive message of optimism, hope, freedom and prosperity. This was the Ron Paul approach, and he was exactly right. Downbeat, doom and gloom, fear, hate-- these things don't sell in the mainstream market. R
I just posted a letter going to the Gop.

i like alex jones and do listen to his programs . i have seen some of his movies. but at the same time i can understand that you need to take him with a grain of salt. if you haven't seen endgame it has some good info on the bilderbuger's and not just from alex.
In my opinion, Alex Jones is a top-notch freedom-fighter and is one of the few sticking his neck all the way out there. The fact that he's let them marginalize him, pigeonhole him, and call him all kinds of names to sully his reputation, and yet he's still fighting the good fight tells me that he's at least sincere in his desire to get the truth out there.
I'm a fan of him and his show and websites, but to be honest, I'm like you: I can't listen to more than one three-hour show a week without literally going bunkers (a version of "bonkers") and stockpiling and watching the skies and streets for the evil that's coming.
In my opinion, a dose of this every month or so is good for us, though. It's a dose of the reality that's coming and that we need to work hard to stop!
