I was also a founder and former Chief Operating Officer of Bid4Assets, Inc., recognized by CIO magazine as one of the top 100 Internet companies and "Best Business Idea" by the Washington Business Journal in 2001. Prior to USA Companies, I was an international trade and marketing consultant in China and Romania. I also served as the representative to the Small Business Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Bill Zeliff and was on the staff of former Senator William Cohen for two years. I served for four years in the United States Army and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of New Hampshire. I am the Vice-Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Maine.
