Rick Williams is a graduate of UCLA Law School (JD 1973), where he served on the Board of Editors of the UCLA Law Review. Mr. Williams is a partner in the Los Angeles law firm Kelly Lytton & Williams LLP, specializing in corporate and business litigation. In his 34 years as a practicing attorney, Mr. Williams has acted as a lead trial lawyer in many of the largest corporate and insurance lawsuits in the state of California. Rick Williams is the co--author of two legal books: "Law of the Year 2000;" and "Computer and Internet Liability;" and for a number of years was an adjunct professor of law at Pepperdine University Law School. Over his career, Mr. Williams has held numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association, including Chair of the Litigation Section Environmental Committee; Chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee; and Chair of the International Litigation Committee. Mr. Williams served for nearly a decade on the Board of Trustees of the Pacific Legal Foundation, one of the largest and most prominent public interest law firms in the country, specializing in individual rights and property rights cases. Mr. Williams has been a frequent speaker and writer at legal seminars and conferences around the world. Rick Williams received his undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Washington State University (BA 1969), and he worked in the finance group for Shell Oil Company in Los Angeles before beginning his legal career. Mr. Williams has been an avid student of the Austrian School of Economics for decades, with a particular interest in the workings of the Federal Reserve System and our fractional reserve bankers. During the Ron Paul presidential campaign, Mr. Williams hosted a daily radio talk show, first on Ronpaulradio and later on Ron Paul Revolution Radio, and reported live and in person from campaign events around the country. Mr. Williams is a founder of BreakTheMatrix, and serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Basic Media, Inc. (in formation). Rick Williams is a lifelong Christian, and served as a Deacon of the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church. One of his saddest observations on our modern political scene is to watch his fellow Christian Americans support an illegal and immoral war in the Iraq. Mr. Williams is the father of two daughters. He lives in Hollywood.
